With years behind the brush working with Hollywood's most famous faces, plus years in the sky as a flight attendant, I’ve seen firsthand what skin goes through — from long flights to long days under the lights. I choose clean, conscious, kind products because skin deserves care that’s as smart as it is beautiful.
My mission? To help you glow in any time zone, at any age, with skincare that works as hard as you do — without compromising your health or the planet. Besides skincare that will help you glow, we all host several other items to keep the glow, going.

Our humble beginnings
Founded in 2015, The Mending Muse began as a wellness, mental health, and relationship-focused brand dedicated to empowering individuals through therapy, self-improvement, and emotional healing.
Created by Angela Friis — celebrity makeup artist, healing advocate, and entrepreneur — and Wally Bentley, The Mending Muse was born from Angela’s personal journey through grief, recovery, and transformation. What began as a deeply personal path evolved into a business rooted in goat therapy, mindfulness, and emotional wellness support. Together, Wally and Angela also championed causes close to their hearts, raising awareness and supporting charities that fight against domestic abuse and animal abuse.
Angela later joined forces with Nature’s Trail Yoga in Orland Park, where you can still find laughter, connection, and plenty of “baahs” of fun. From goat-based experiences that nurture mental health and self-esteem, The Mending Muse grew into a hub for events, coaching, inspiring content, and community connection — all designed to help people heal, glow, and live with purpose.
As Angela’s healing journey unfolded, she found strength, confidence, and clarity. Through life’s hardships, she realized she was still lucky to be her. This “aha” moment shifted her mindset — she stopped seeking validation from others and began chasing her own dreams instead of people. That’s when the glow-up truly began.
